We have today officially launched the newly built website for Sacconi Quartet.
The site replaces their old website which they had to edit manually, a complicated process of editing and uploading which was easy to get wrong and over time resulted in a particularly dated and confusing site.
jazzle.co.uk has created a fully bespoke site for the string quartet, built to make it easy for any member of the quartet to edit the site content, add new pieces to their repertoire, or write new posts on their blog.
It is also now incredibly easy to send their newsletter by email to hundreds of fans, with a simple click of a button, rather than a laborious process of adding each person manually to an email with a Word document attached.
The new sacconi.com is built with accessibility in mind using CSS and XHTML, to ensure that the content is readily available to all web users and search engines alike.
Making the site from scratch allowed the system to perfectly match the requirements, rather than trying to force a generic system to cope. Allowing the quartet full control over the site content meant creating a dynamic site based on a database, using PHP and MySQL.

Exhilerating festival at Folkestone. We had booked for 2 concerts, but couldn’t bear to miss the 3rd. The audience seems a large family outing, united by the vibrant music making. I hope it does not lose this closeness if ,as deserved, it attracts masses more listeners.
